![]() I'm not mentioning my gender for obvious reasons but an option to just change a skin like in games such as shadow of mordors options really helps and is honestly the bare minimum needed to help these people not feel alienated by games they enjoy. I hated the first games male only roll because i generally don't enjoy playing as a man. I guess the upside of this pandemic is that you're mostly confined to your basements- thank god for social distancing. And I guarantee I won't see you complaining if some game comes out and the playable character's female only.Ĭhrist, I feel sorry for any of the women who have the misfortune of interacting with dudes like you in real life. And I'm not stopping you from thinking this, I'm just saying it's ridiculous. ![]() Techland's choice on what they want to do, not yours. There were a ♥♥♥♥ ton of voicelines for Crane in the first game, now imagine DL2. Then, most of all, pay millions for a voice actor to record a thousand more lines. Every piece of clothing that goes on the torso will have to be remodeled to accommodate for that, maybe even animations if arms can clip through it. And let's not forget the breasts, the portion you crave the most, seeming that you are begging to play as a woman. Therefore you would have to at least adjust every single piece of clothing the character could wear to fit for both body types. An "ideal" female body is skinnier than the "ideal" male body. There is no excuse, nor justification, for not having a female voice actor say the same lines, and little to no reanimation necessary. ![]() Check out our review, where we praised its setup, world-building, and general gameplay, while criticising its voice acting and writing.Originally posted by Legerdemain:The effort required is minimal compared to virtually any other feature of the game, and Mass Effect (as well as numerous other games, like The Division) demonstrated just how seamless the difference can be. Originally set for a June release, Dying Light 2 Stay Human‘s first story DLC has been delayed to September. “So I think in the third game, if it happens, that the character will start with more powers, more skills, more abilities as his basic skill set.” “We did something very different in the second one and actually this is something I would like to have corrected when I look at Dying Light 2 from the perspective of three months after the release,” said Smektała. It appears that, in hindsight, Smektała would have liked to have introduced stronger protagonist to kick Dying Light 2 Stay Human off. ![]() Dying Light 2 Stay Human, on the other hand, introduces a more experienced character, but several abilities are lost during the course of the game’s opening segment, once again leading to a weaker character. “We have used basically the same approach in that we used in the first game, where the player was starting quite weak and then developing further.”įor the sake of comparison, the protagonist of the original Dying Light starts out fairly weak, with little in the way of combat or movement abilities. “One thing is that if we’re making Dying Light 3, then I would like the main character to start with bigger and better starting abilities and skills,” said Smektała in the interview.
